We talked about these guys a few years ago and I’ve been trying to remember why. Was it because of this same player or was there some other lead-in?

I remember someone here, Neil, maybe, surprising me by not knowing the band. So as you say, Texi, I think it was some other freewheeling discussion that brought us there, but we do stray across the topic of baseball from time to time.

Ok, I remember now, partly at least. Vauthrin’s beard. We were on a zoom call and someone, Sphinx is the likeliest candidate, said something about his looking like the guy in Jethro Tull. That part I recall. I don’t remember specifically how Neil got involved. Maybe he played a few bars of Aqualung on his flamenco guitar or something. That would most probably set me off.
We were watching baseball while this went down, by the way, Lefty. Hopefully that assuages your sense of unease.

Yeah, I missed the zoom games unfortunately, but have put 2+2 together and now the conversation in the covid thread makes a ton more sense.
Rainy day in the ATL. Why didn’t they put a roof on their stadium?
It’s going to be a pretty raw day and evening there with a vertically stacked closed low moving directly overhead. Highs in the low 50’s, oozing down to the upper 40’s during the game. Precip chances will be waning from 50% to 30% during the game. They should get it in, if they can keep the field in decent condition today (which should be doable with today’s very good drainage in modern ballfields and only around 0.10" of rain expected to fall) but it’s not going to be a great weather experience at the game for fans or players.
Tomorrow will be a beautiful Fall day down there for the game.

Sounds like a time to try different things and see what works.
I know this sounds crazy but I’ve about decided it doesn’t matter what I do or eat or wear. But just in case, I’m gonna drink some damn Crawford Bock tonight and eat BBQ I got from Davila’s in Seguin.
