Yankees @ Astros July 11, 2021

My only regret is Chapman did not give up those hits. The sainted Yankees were afraid to send him out there.

you know what? it’s really great to be on the hitting side of the Pujols-9th-inning homer coin. I didn’t know I could dislike a team and its fanbase as much as I dislike the Yankees.

I never hated the Yankees (or the Red Sox) until I went to school with their fans.

You know, I almost don’t care what else happens this year as long as the Yankees miss the postseason by exactly one game.

That would be missing the postseason by exactly one Altuve.

That was a really cool post by Garza. Happy for him and hope there are many more.

Has anyone heard how Altuve’s father is doing?

I am not really a fan of Christopher Russo but he pretty much hits the nail on the head here and it’s good to hear a New York guy giving them shit

After he cast aspersions on the Astros success against NYY, of course, then he blasted the Yankees.

ā€œTook a championship away from the Yankees in ā€˜17ā€ Oh, come on. Yes, beat them on the field, but not ā€œcheating.ā€

I loved the rant, mostly.

He’s one of the few non Astro fans that I have heard say ā€œhey how bout you score more than 3 runs in 4 games?ā€

Yes, he told them they did nothing in four games in Houston but after he repeated the shit about sign-stealing.

I’ll never be rational about Manfred’s singling out and demonizing the Astros for an issue which was rampant throughout MLB. He encouraged the lynch mob which resulted from his limiting the camera issue to one team.

I can stand Russo and his loud talking style. But instead of the normal cock slurping sounds he usually emits regarding the Yankee, it was nice hearing him rag on the them for once.

Russo has been bagging on the Yankees for a while now with regards to the Astros. He’s one of the very few media personalities who ever reasonably mentions the on field failures by both the Yankees and Dodgers in the 2017 postseason. Yankees couldn’t hit the Astros pitching in Houston and the Dodgers lost two games on their home field, one where their closer choked a late lead and the other where CFM mowed down those vaunted Dodger bats.

That doesn’t make him genius.

Edit: after actually listening to his rant he does make some good points.

Manfred can eat a bag of dicks. He’s commissioner of the big market teams. The others can eat cake.

Yeah, but the emails.

No, no, no. The Yankees would have definitely won those games 1-0, 1-0, 1-0 and 0-0. That’s a given.

Chris Bassit (Sp?) of the As said yesterday or today ā€œIt was not only the Astros.ā€ He also called the Astros ā€œgood guysā€ and said the media is driving the story now.
