White Sox @ Astros, June 18, 2021

He was a little snake bit in the first, but stayed the course and pitched his ass off.

Alvarez with another single up the middle

Correa missed that slider by four feet

I will go ahead and argue that

I had a bit of an epiphany with Altuve that last at bat. It’s not that he’s an idiot, although he is, of course. It’s that he is an unbelievably selfish player. He had two pitches he could have sent into right field to score at least two, but he was determined to send the ball onto the train tracks. It’s pretty sad to think of how great he could be if he would adjust his approach a little.

I’ve always said that if he only swung at pitches he could physically reach with the bat, he’d hit.4000

TK said TLR might stick with a starter longer than a younger manager.

Just want to point out that EVERY manager is a younger manager than the TC.

Come on, Straw…redemption time

Shitballs

That’s not it. Inning ending GIDP

1-1

Straw struck it well, just a perfect location to get two.

Rodon is certainly impressive.

So it’s indeed Floribama to face the heart of the order

Ok folks, get out the Dixie cups. We got company.

I know, and you’re not wrong, but I file that under Idiot.

What he did a few innings ago gets filed under Irredeemably Selfish.

Right there together in the filing cabinet, though.

1-out walk from Stanek

The strikes were a slider in the zone that he fouled, a 99 mph heater in the upper/outer corner he missed, and a slider in the zone he missed.

He wasn’t looking to poke the FB likely bc he was thinking slider.

He’s had some terrible ABs in his career but that didn’t seem like one of them.
