Wow it turns out that actually playing the game can lead to really cool results!
I’ve been watching a few Padres games lately, including the one last night. They also have issues in the bullpen, but man can those guys hit. Should be a pretty interesting series.
Maybe Greinke will screw up their timing for a few days.
More “outrage” about 3-0 homers and this one was supposedly more egregious because Yermin Mercedes did it while a position player was pitching (Willians Astudillo). Even his twice DUI’d dumbfuck of a manager seems to have had a problem with it.

This is so ridiculous. Aside from the fact that as a hitter, you never give away at bats, no matter who is pitching…with an 11-run lead and a position player pitching…swing the fucking bat. If you’re up there working the count, that’s far more egregious than hitting a home run on a 3-0 pitch. There’s no way for a hitter to “win” in this situation, so fuck 'em…don’t want him to hit a home run, don’t have some slapdick on the mound throwing cookies. This ain’t on the hitter.

Also, is there any chance in hell the White Sox would say in an arbitration hearing “well, he took it easy on the position pitchers so we’ll give him credit for a couple more homers”?
None. But you can bet that they’ll say that at least one of his homers doesn’t count.
Tank Commander needs to shore up his knowledge of the written rules before he worries about the unwritten rule bullshit.
