I don’t find the actual stadium the A’s play in to be bad at all and it’s right on the BART. Ideal location for the East Bay area.
If they get that stadium built at Howard Terminal, big if, it will be sweet and revitalize the franchise. It will be easy access too and in a more unique setting. Would also be true for the Rays if they were to build that stadium on the bay-front in Tampa.
Don’t overlook how revitalizing it will be for the Rays to play half their home games in another country.
The ballpark in Tampa needs to be in Ybor City. I have the design in my head already.
Yes, that place.
I don’t ever remember an Off-season where so many pitchers signed so quickly but absolutely no position players have.
This is me.
Rays signd Franco to a 10 (some say 12) year deal. $200M ballpark.
Seems very unRays-like move.
I guess he was really excited about his contract
My android swype has some entertaining autocorrects.
Ugh.
Fuck. Did we not try???
Damn, 3 for $30 would still be a steal in my book. Dude is a legit closer. Damn shame if we don’t find a way to hold on to him.
I sincerely hope Heyman’s on his bullshit again
Maybe this is just Graveman’s camp using Heyman and the Sox to get what he wants from the Astros…just as Verlander used the Yankees to do the same and get the 2nd year on his deal.
I wonder if front-office types play a game where they compete to see who can get Heyman to publish the most outlandish rumor.
Maybe Graveman wants to close instead of being a setup man.
Not with the White Sox
The White Sox bullpen looks pretty crowded.
Then again I have heard they only picked up Kimbrell’s option to trade him.
After signing Verlander, the Astros may not want to spend big until/unless the Correa issue is decided.
