A few months back I rode Austin to El Paso and back with a friend on a road trip from Memphis to visit a mutual friend in El Paso. He insisted on going to the Kentucky Club in Juarez so he could order a margarita from the place that claims to have invented the drink. I was very apprehensive and against my better judgement, I followed along. The was absolutely nothing alarming that day. It all seemed rather nice. That day, anyway.

Of course not, probably higher. I go to (and across) the border with some regularity, and it always amazes me that there is no pushback on this out of control border bullshit. I mean, these people will lie shamelessly until theyāre sufficiently challenged. Sure, theyāll think up some new lie or find some other powerless group to demonize, but to just let them keep lying is infuriating.
Iāve been there and around there for the past 40 years, I have friends whose families live on both sidesā¦if we want to talk about it letās talk about the real issues, but the showboating by Florida/Trump/Abbott is insulting and just wrong.

I did however do a simple search on the topic and the Republican house report had a 10% increase over a year period, and then another article had the recent ruling slowing down illegal crossings.

Down. Border crossings have plummeted under Biden, who largely kept in place many of Trumpās border policies.
People presenting themselves at the border and requesting asylum, as they have a legal right to do under US law, those rates have remained fairly static, although itās a straw man argument to call that illegal immigration.
