The Inevitable What About The Inevitable You-Know-Who Thread Thread

At some point people are going to have ask why these unfortunate souls are so desperate to leave their homes and make a very perilous journey north. None of this will get better until those problems are addressed.

The typical liberal tactic when they know they don’t have a leg to stand on with their argument: resort to name calling.

Thank you for the good laugh, I needed that.

An article from 2021 and we’re midway through 2023.

That article does not say what you want it to say, it actually says mostly the opposite.

You should read and understand articles before you post them.

Oh I read it completely. Evidently you missed this part of the article. I’ll copy and paste it below:

“Illegal immigration to the U.S., the extent of which cannot be fully known because of how many evade federal police and get away, has risen at a faster rate in the first nine months of President Joe Biden’s tenure than any time in the Border Patrol’s 97-year history.”

Sorry, a more recent article for you.

You have to take your hat off to the bravery of all these Republicans willing to go into a gun-free zone like this.

Not part of Twitter. Not going either. No one I know has ever miss used guns. Rep or dem. I believe it is more important for country. Not rep or dem. Never heard soldier dying for Dems or reps. Unfortunately some pass, it is for country. So everyone here can live in peace under our constitution. May not be perfect, but it is a very great start from our granfathers. None of my ancestors were here when it was written.

No one you know has ever miss used (sic) guns, so they must be ok? Spoken like a true conservative: nothing is real until it happens to you.

Not even a gun guy. Shot a few times. People I know usually have a safe for long guns. Some have carry permits. Other than deer or rattlesnakes. But you are right. Any bad apple can turn a gun into evil

That wasn’t my point, but thanks for the background.

I understand. There are good points on all sides. Hopefully know one on this site becomes a statistic or is a part of making one. Whether we agree politically or not. We can have an agreement to disagree at times.

“A gun is a tool, no better or no worse than any other tool: an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that.” -Shane

Yeah, let’s not overinterpret the second amemdment to say that there is something special about this tool.

+1. That quote from @D.WARD is a strawman argument, poorly trying to create a false equivalency.
For a constitutionalist to try to do that is laughable. There are exactly zero “right to bear shovels” clauses in the constitution or any amendments because the founding fathers understood the fundamental difference. As do most 3rd graders today.

Also, even back when the 2nd Amendment was ratified, you couldn’t kill someone at 30 paces with a shovel like you could with the weaponry available.

This seems notable.

They were all responding to a subpoena, so Smith at least had a thread on which he wanted to pull.

The Democrats would love a society where no one in the public owns a firearm.

Here is a great example of where a firearm saved a lot of lives.

At what point to we need to have a full investigation into all the finances of SCOTUS justices?

Clearly they cannot be trusted to recuse themselves when there is a conflict of interest, and they cannot be trusted to fully comply with reporting requirements that would highlight where they had such conflicts.
