The Inevitable What About The Inevitable You-Know-Who Thread Thread

George Santos has stated that his $500,000 bail was posted by his step-father - a painter (walls, not canvass) - and his aunt - a mail carrier. Yeah, sure Kitana.

Isnā€™t a bail bond only 10%? So, they pooled $50K from all the family members?

I donā€™t think it was a bail bond, it was $500k cash. I doubt anyone would be too bothered if Santos had used a bail bondsman.

According to CNN: Neither relative secured the bond with cash or property, according to a court order that was among the documents unsealed Thursday. But Santosā€™ father and aunt ā€œagreed to be personally responsibleā€ for the congressmanā€™s compliance with the terms of his release, the order noted.

Iā€™ve thankfully never had to be bailed out of jail so I donā€™t really understand how this works, but that sounds like no money changed hands.

I had to bail out a friend once, and it is a monumental ball ache. Itā€™s almost as if they make it as stupid and frustrating as possible on purposeā€¦

So he got a sweetheart deal despite multiple felonies charged. No wonder he wanted to keep it quiet.

He got a great deal because he is such a great lawyer. He knew exactly how to manipulate the courts.

And those people werenā€™t his ā€œfatherā€ and his ā€œaunt,ā€ they were his former partners at Goldman.

Happy Friday

This is why you want democrats in charge.

Meanwhile, I get a couple of text messages a day asking me to conserve energy because otherwise Greg Abbottā€™s pals wonā€™t be able to gouge us for electricity.

We had a storm roll through on Wednesday night. We lost power for about 6 hours, but have had it back since yesterday morning. There are still houses in the neighborhood that donā€™t. Abbott couldnā€™t be prouder of them.

Greg Abbott is bound to a wheelchair from an accident in 1984 where he received an $8.9 million settlement for his injuries. Yet, he continues to support stripping the rights of Texans with disabilities whenever he can. The state ranks near the bottom in America when it comes for rights for the disabled.

Heā€™s a horrible person and a gigantic hypocrite.

Wow, almost sounds like a Democrat

I am more and more convinced that the mindset driving the GOP at the moment is self-loathing. So much of what they are doing and want to do is driven by the desire to be cruel to others; because they hate themselves, they want other people to hurt too.

It explains why they have all duct taped themselves to a malignant narcissist who treats anybody and everybody like shit. He is feeding their self-loathing and they love him for it.

What you have just said is the most insanely idiotic thing I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response did you ever form anything that can be considered a rational thought. We are all now dumber for having heard it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

This.
Theyā€™re miserable, hollow, small, petty, vindictive, devoid of empathy, loathsome, unhappy pricks and want others to be the same.

To the extent self-loathing leads to authoritarianism, yes. Many have been conditioned to obey, many more just like hurting others and follow the authority that lets them, but mostly itā€™s the ā€œtoadyā€ complex. The toady sides with the bully in order to avoid being a target of the bully. Ernst Rohm is an example of a toady from history. It didnā€™t work out well for him.

To be so happy and non judgement folks, being liberal and all, you all sure seem unhappy and are enjoying talking bad about people. Most all liberals are borderline racists and may actually be racists. Itā€™s not good to live life so unhappy all the time.

You see the same happening to Trumpā€™s apparatchiks, who are thrown under the bus should they so much as raise an eyebrow in disagreement with the Dear Leader. Still, thereā€™s always another one to take their place, to get ruined and cast aside in favor of the next willing victim. Rinse. Repeat.
