Judge Merchan has postponed sentencing in Trump’s NY fraud conviction until after the election, while also saying that everyone deserves equal treatment under the law.

I think this is for the best. Trump can’t demagogue and fund raise off his sentence prior to the election, there won’t be any grievance porn surrounding any of this. He remains a convicted felon and everyone knows it. And when he loses Merchan can sentence his ass to real jail time if he feels like it.

Plus, we’ll get to see some good J6 dirt here before too long, and Trump can’t drown any of that out by complaining about how unfair Merchan is.
