The Inevitable What About The Inevitable You-Know-Who Thread Thread

In the first 5 hours after Biden’s announcement, the BidenHarris campaign pulled in $27.5 million, while anyone who is anyone in Democratic politics - including those who would be potential opponents - has endorsed her candidacy.

It’s going to be a former prosecutor vs. a convicted felon. Quite the split screen.

What a tool.

He’s much more qualified than Harris.

I feel uniquely qualified to emphatically agree with your assessment of this “tool”.

I used Stephen Miller’s tears to make my espresso this morning.

The GOP was all-in on running against Biden and this rug-pull - whether by design or accident - has upended their entire strategy. Look forward to lots of age quotes being weaponized and sent right back from whence they came.

Steve Bannon was approached for his comments but the warden said no. (His head must be exploding with frustration right now).

Nothing says “white male privilege” more than a worthless white guy swooping in trying to steal a promotion from an exceptional black woman.

People really are out there saying that “for the sake of unity” the Dems should nominate Mitt Romney or Liz Cheney.

Why weren’t those same people telling the GOP that, for the sake of unity, they should nominate…I don’t know…say, Mitt Romney or Liz Cheney?

Because this worked so well last time…

Joe is going to be shocked this morning when he learns that he has been fired and will be replaced. It’s clearly not even his signature on the letter. They see that they have no chance. Trump is single handedly blowing up the Democrat Party and it is a sight to behold.

Here’s an image for everyone to save and savor.

This is still true.

Trump donated to a lot of people. This was right before she failed miserably at her job. Which is what she would do as president too.

In fairness, it wasn’t really “people,” it was just Aaron Sorkin, and based on the derision he received, he backed off quickly and was hoping it was just a bad dream.

Speaking of Manchin, only a politician would have an ego large enough to completely obscure reason. He’s so fucking out of touch that he really thought he could be a real option?

Someone has been looking at the latest fund raising figures.

He knows his track record against black female prosecutors is not good.

This is true. But this happens every cycle, when Dems are expected to reach across the aisle for the sake of unity, while the GOP goes with Grandpa Hitler.

My guess is that harris picks andy beshear, governor of kentucky. She’s looking for a partner who will apppeal to the swing voters in swing states. Has to be be a governor, too much risk to pull a swing state senator. Since Harris ticks all the available DEI boxes herself (black, female, california) i bet she will pick the most mainstream running mate possible (like biden): white, male, straight (acting), mainstream christian. Beshear is a dem who has won in a red southern state who meets this criteria, and has endorsed harris. Of the names being floated, i think he’s the closest to what she’s looking for to balance the ticket. Zero chance she picks a republican.

Which is probably why Gore was saddled with the Joe Manchin of his time, Joe Lieberman.
And you’re right, every election cycle the mantra goes around that the Dem candidate choose a Rep veep for unity but they never say it the other way around. How’s about Trump pick AOC for his running mate?

That is hilarious. TRUMP and AOC having to do any basic task together.

I think hitler would be offended by the trump comparison, while the donald would consider it a compliment.
