Because irony is soooo dead, Team Trump in the NYAG trial is grandstanding about the risks to their health of continuing the trial because some members of Team NYAG have tested positive for COVID. Alina Habba even asked for a separate, “uncontaminated” mic.
Judge Engoron coolly shuts them down by pointing out that none of them - even today - are wearing masks, which they are perfectly at liberty to do.
Just like their Orange Idol before them, this could’ve worked if all they did was wear a mask.

The GOP picks Tom Emmer as its new nominee. Can he get 217 votes? Does it matter while they continue to operate under the same rules that lets one member flush the speaker?

Trump said Cohen was lying on the stand to “get a better deal” from prosecutors. Cohen has been tried, convicted, and served time for his crimes, among which was making hush-money payments to a porn actress on Trump’s behalf. There aren’t any prosecutors to squeeze Cohen. There is no “better deal”. There’s no deal at all.

Trump can’t keep straight the countries that world leaders…ummm…lead. He has no chance in keeping straight who is testifying against him for what and in what case.

Their efforts to blame Democrats were getting laughed at before now. They will make a deal once it sinks into the thickest of skulls that this will hurt them electorally. Given the amount of gerrymandering that most of them enjoy, that could be a while yet.
