Doubly damning.
Disagree. They are very much a contender, if the OC didnāt insist on running the same stupid plays, over and over again, or when needing a play taking his playmakers out of the game. They are not a juggernaut offensively, but they have talent and ability. Slowik just insists on not using his best talent.
Yeah, I just donāt see it. Heās a hell of a pass blocking LT.
Letās ignore the pre-snap penalties, ok?
If the Texans didnāt blow 2H leads against the Packers, Jets, Titans and Lions, theyāre hosting this round. They blew those games because their offensive coordinator is a fucking moron.
I like to argue with Hudson as much as anyone, but there is no argument to be had here.
Except that every one of those pre-snap penalties is like half a sack.
The Commanders donāt seem to understand that you canāt win a divisional round game on the road.
If a Texan had hit Mahomes like that guy just hit Goff theyād have thrown him out of the game and banned him from the league.
Second half against the Packers, Jets, and Lionsā¦all games they led at halftime, they scored in the 2H a total of 3 points, 0 points, and 6 points. All games they lost by one score, two on last second field goals. To argue that the offense late in games wasnāt the problem is just bizarre.
Oh, I know, I remember. They had to work to lose the games against those two good teams. And to lose to the Jets is as horrific as their loss to the Panthers last year. You just do not lose to teams like that, not if you want to be taken seriously.
Iāve never seen those factored in to āpressuresā or āhitsā or āsacksā allowedā¦
Show me the numbers, Copernicus
Iām just spitballing here, but a five yard penalty vs sacks usually being 6-8 yards, but at least you keep the down.
Soā¦āhalf a sackā but keep the down. Got it.
And yes, itās fucking frustrating as hell. All I was saying is that once the ball is snapped, he is a fucking wall as a LT. Heās just about the one thing that has kept Stroud from turning into David Carr, mentally.
That first drive of the 2nd half was really impressive.
I follow the Texans mostly thru this thread. The frustration is understandable but being one of the last 4 standing in this yearās AFC playoffs is pretty darn good.
So according to Joe Mixon, he was fined $25,000 for something T.J. Houshmandzadeh tweeted, the NFL mistakenly thinking it was Mixon. When Mixon publicly complained about it stating that it wasnāt him who tweeted, he was fined an additional $25,000. Thatās all according to Mixon, anyway. The NFL doesnāt like explaining itself.
Looks like they kept the fine at the max amount despite the fact his actual quote was about as diplomatic as it could be.
The NFL is a very successful shitty organization.
Colin Kaepernick says ājust be glad you didnāt kneelā.
Imagine a Major League baseball player saying about getting called out on strikes: āyou canāt leave it in umpireās hands there, you have to swing if itās closeā and MLB getting their panties wadded up about it.
The NFL doth protest too much, methinks.
