They’re missing some key defensive pieces, but just watching the offense without CJ underscores how any success the offense has had this year is completely down to CJ and how any success he has had has been in spite of the organization’s many attempts to sabotage him.

In addition: they passed up a short FG in the first half and got stuffed, threw a pick in crunch time on a simple out route, and 3 times passed up a chance to kick a PAT to tie the game.

They can absolutely both report as eligible. You can only have six eligible, and one may not be depending on how he lines up, but they can absolutely both report. It happens regularly. #68 clearly did and the refs fucked it up, intentionally or otherwise.

He can’t be eligible if covered, but can report as such. This is true for any player. Reporting doesn’t mean you have to line up as an eligible receiver. There is no limit to the number of lineman who can report as eligible. You can fill your whole backfield with guys wearing numbers in the 70s if you want. They have to report and line up in an otherwise eligible position to catch a pass, but you can absolutely have more than one report. This happens all the time in kicking formations. You’ll see players report and referees acknowledge.

This ref crew has had several notable fuckups this season
Their fuckup last night directly reversed the outcome of the game.
