One pitch, one out

Neris has a team option. He’ll be back, I’m sure. He’s been fucking nails all season

Me too, but I’m not sure if they’ll invest big money in Montero, Neris, and Pressly.

1 SP, 1 OF bat, bullpen pieces

Altuve…3-0…3-1…3-2…singles to LF…tying run aboard

Cone on, Bregman…here’s your chance to do something meaningful

Nope.

They’ve got no choice on Montero, and they knew that when they made the deal, so I assume it’s not a factor when considering Neris and Pressly.

Down to the last out for Yordan…

It converted to a player option after 110 appearances.

And that’s it. Swept at home by a 102-loss team to effectively end your season

Sad way to go out.

The blessing/curse is that the Rangers sweep turns the Mariners series into basically a three game playoff for WC3.

Hope not, but Pressly will make $14m next year and Montero $11.5m. Neris is going to be $10+. I hope they get him back, but I can see why they would let him go. Unless they fill the remaining slots internally.

As if we’ll score more than two runs in the series.

One thing that gives me reservations about ‘a few tweaks and run it back’ is the story of the 2007 Mets. That’s what the club did after an epic late season meltdown. Then 2008 happened…

Nonetheless it’s likely the least worst option. Even if you wanted to seriously shake up the roster, you’d be selling low on every player you moved.

I had planned on staying up late to watch the Seattle games. Now, not so much.

Oh, and the Saints’ season also ended today.
