RIP, Ruth Bader Ginsburg

It was after he left OWA. I made some comment that included a pretty minor dig at the Aggies and poked at least as much fun at UT. He unfriended me and when I asked him about it in PMs he said that he was sick of people slamming his school, his religion, etc. Alrighty then.

What have I often said? There is a very certain subset of people who absolutely thrill to play the victim.

Andy’s son chose Texas over aTm. Oh, I loved it.

I didn’t know that. That is pretty sweet.

Of course Zipp did the same initially.

Can you imagine? You get to Austin and look around and decide, Nope, I just don’t feel comfortable here. I think I’d do better at the place whose cheerleaders are guys dressed up like they work at Brake Check.

He did pretty much the same thing to me. It must be tough being a sensitive Aggie.

I noticed the LSU diploma on my dog’s Veterinarian’s wall and asked her why she chose LSU. She (a woman of color from Tyler Texas) said because she wanted to go some place close to her home and didn’t want to live in College Station or Stillwater.

He did the same thing to me, too, which stands to reason, I suppose, since I can be somewhat outspoken in my views on certain topics that some deem sensitive.

But Neil, man, you’re the most conflict averse guy in here.

Not always. I’ve seen Neil defend his turf.

But it’s silly. It’s not like he didn’t know any of us before Facebook.

I’m not suggesting he’s a defenseless sort; he’s a lawyer ffs. I’m just saying he’s the last person around here to deliberately antagonize someone.

Just so long as you don’t get sideways with him over tying flies. I won’t be making THAT mistake again any time soon.

I just re-read my post and discovered that I split an infinitive. Now I can retire for the evening knowing that I’ve annoyed Limey. Seems like a cheerful end to a productive day, what what.

When Neil was defending his turf it was due to some gentlemen behind us at a game talking about their penis. He didn’t think it was appropriate. I think he was right about that and other matters.

I’d never criticize anyone’s flies I’m a lady that way

I’m fairly certain it has to do with ending up with an office full of Aggies

And here I was thinking it was a direct reference to the Zipp.

I figured my quip about A&M was inside the lines, but there were other things going on.

Apologies, if this is a Caberra, but I luv this.

Reports now stating that Trump is going to nominate Judge Serena Joy.

I’ve never heard of her.

She has a solid legal resume, but her only judicial experience came after Trump nominated her for the federal court three years ago. Her nomination was passed out of committee 11-9 and she was confirmed by the full Senate 55-43. Apparently, now she’s ready to make the leap to the Supreme Court.

She has very strong religious views around abortion, and believes in the patriarchal model for families.

If it’s her, the pick is entirely designed to shore up Trump’s base. So he’s still going to lose in 5 weeks, because this isn’t going to gain him any new voters, but we get Justice Coney Barrett for decades.

I have heard of her.

Despite McConnell’s reckless pace to confirm Amy Coney Barrett, her extremist religious past is going to catch up to her.

It. Will. Not. Matter.
