Her sort of attitude really bothers me. “No one meets my standards so I’ll just stay home.”
No candidate is perfect, and no doubt every person who runs for office has imperfections which can be picked apart by those who demand someone who does exactly what he or she wants. I have voted for Democrats and I have voted for Republicans in the presidential races since I cast my first vote for President in 1968. Each time the issues for me were “who is the better candidate” and “which candidate is better for the country.” I do not have to agree with every policy they support or like them above all the possible candidates there are. The contest is between two persons who have been nominated, and the future of the country is at stake. The election is not about me or about who I believe to be a better candidate than the two who were nominated.
This year, above all others in my lifetime, our survival as a nation and human lives depend on electing the Democratic party’s nominee. A vote for anyone else but Biden or pouting and staying home are votes for Trump.
That is an outSTANding development! He’s not really MY idiot, though. I mean, I guess he’s our idiot, we being those of us with some sort of moral compass regardless of how fogged over the glass might be.
It’s like the team in front of you drafted the player you really wanted, and instead of going with “best available” you decided to be the Cleveland Browns.
They’ve had some down time, like every team, but they’ve put some quality teams on the field for a long time now. To suggest they’ve been worse than the Browns is just bizarre, but telling that someone is just a Texans hater. And haters gotta hate.
The Texans are better than average and competitive but that’s mostly the extent of their success. They need to do better in the playoffs to take the next step. But making the playoffs is not done by shit teams and the Texans have often made the playoffs.
Justice meted out for the Reds/Cubs benches clearing brawl the other night. One player got a 1-game suspension and one player a fine. A couple of coaches also got 1-game suspensions. No word on whether or not executions would be in order had it involved the Astros.
Astros have been hit by pitches 14 times this year, half as many as Cubs (29) and Mets (28). Sixteen teams have been hit by more pitches than the Astros.
