100% incorrect. AJ getting fired was all Crane, MLB/Manfred did not force that or back room deal that. It was Crane’s decision.
Agree Crane is the villain in the Hinch firing. I understand Luhnow’s firing, especially if he withheld the Manfred memo from Hinch or ignored direct instructions not to use cameras to relay signs during games. I do not understand the rationale for firing Hinch, but I obviously do not know all the facts concerning Crane’s prior discussions with Hinch, if any, about the players’ behavior.
Cranes rationale to fire Hinch? Kiss up to MLB (not necessary) and try to distance himself and most idiotic think it would lead to good PR.
