Punishments are official

Lovely

I don’t know about anyone else, but I know I’ve been waiting with bated breath to hear LeBron’s take on all this.

It’s on Quibi, which pretty much guarantees that nobody will ever see it.

I wouldn’t know how to find it if I wanted to.

Bauer live throwing to Dietrich. Pretty interesting. Of course, Bauer lays into the Astros, which is to be expected. But, the actual throwing/hitting is fun/funny.

The next time I watch one of his videos will be the first.

Which I hope will be never. Unless there are boobs.

Clearly there is at least one boob.

Apparently LeBron James’s production company for this documentary is somehow affiliated with Alex Bregman’s agent. Well, former agent. Bregman is looking for new representation. Apparently Bregman’s former agent wasn’t aggressive enough in negotiating bonuses for MVP votes, and the Quibi documentary that will certainly be watched by tens of rage-filled Yankees fans became the last straw.

Nobody likes Tyler Bauer or cares what he thinks

If you cynically wanted to bury a story, you’d be hard pressed to pick a better time to release it than Midnight on a Fri/Sat.

From The Athletic article: “Rakoff wrote that “much of the letter’s contents have already been revealed in the 2017 Press Release.” But the plaintiffs claim the letter is revelatory, arguing it “proved Manfred’s duplicity.” Both MLB and the Yankees are seeking to keep the letter under wraps.”

“In the ordinary course, the Court would have unsealed the letter at that time,” Rakoff wrote Friday. “However, defendant MLB and third-party the New York Yankees (the “Yankees”) requested continued sealing of the letter.”

I’m not one to overthink these things. If the Yankees and MLB don’t want the public to see the letter, than they think the letter makes them look bad.

Yup. The phrase “Much of the letter’s contents have already been revealed” simply means that not all of it has been revealed. And if everything of consequence was out in the open already, the plaintiffs wouldn’t be pushing for it.

I look forward to seeing the letter.

I have a copy:

Dear New York Yankees:
Investigation, shmistigation! Who needs an investigation to know your place in my heart? You’re always winners in my book.

Would you send me a baseball signed by Aaron Judge? If I can’t get Judge, how about Gary Sanchez?

XOXOXO Always,
Rob

This is very much worth reading and alleges details from one source about the Yankees sign stealing scheme.

“A source told me late last year that the Yankees allegedly had three different cameras set up in the outfield in 2017 — left, right and center — trained on the catcher’s mitt to steal signs.
Those signs would then be decoded in the dugout and relayed to the hitter during games/at-bats. It had been happening in 2017 and before. Really, stuff that we kind of already knew…”

This is interesting from a former MLB player…

Just heard some details of the “letters” on the #Yankees cheating scheme from some guys. Y’all laid the blueprint for the #Astros …it’s just that the @astros are truly talented so they beat the Yankees & all of baseball at their own game. Others will be exposed… :v:t5:

If only there was some connection between the 2016 and earlier Yankees and the 2017 Astros that might have influenced sign stealing in some way…

Yep, wouldn’t that be great. Like a respected player who told the Astros they did not know how to do it and taught them.

I love the fact that Yankee fans are saying they would forfeit the WS if they had won. Total bs.
