Fiers had been telling anyone who’d listen for two years. Nobody cared, and the media was quick to sweep it away. Until a certain Astros executive got tuned up and went after a certain female reporter, and a certain disgraced reporter decided to extract revenge. That was what set it off.

Did we really expect the Red Sox to get the same punishment as the Astros? The media loves Boston and New York. We can’t have them looking bad. This is a joke. Manfred and MLB are a FOO.

I kind of whished MLB had just ignored the Red Sox at this point. Manfred’s report and “punishment” only brought back up the hatred of the Astros after it’d pretty much died down. But alas, I guess it’s not going anywhere. It’ll be 50 years, at least, before nobody cares who won the 2017 World Series.

I am far from defeated. I just don’t fucking care right now. I care about the Astros but about nothing else pertaining to MLB. This is a farce and a travesty.

Me too. Hard to be excited when there is no known start date or how the season will look. I’d love to see Manfred have to hand the next trophy to Jose Altuve and George Springer.

Wow. After reading that I’m more pissed than ever. This confirms, what we all knew, that the Astros were scapegoats and the Red Sox could have raped seven women at rush hour on Beacon Street and not rec’d more than a wrist slap.
