Punishments are official

speaking of april fools remember the headline that bagwell was traded

That’s fair. The suspension announcement was effective enough to cause them to lose their jobs (and Cora and Beltran).

As for the Red Sox, I heard nobody from the org is willing to answer questions or cooperate with MLB. Guessing they saw the blowback on the Astros and decided it was t worth it. MLB not wanting to blow this up even more isn’t forcing them to. Also means no digging into the Yankees.

That really is a disgrace. MLB sucks.

Can’t say I blame them, after what happened with the Astros. If Crane had any balls, he would have done the same thing-at least until MLB promised to investigate other teams.

This is no surprise. Manfred is probably pretty relieved that the Red Sox told him to go fuck himself. Crane has never demonstrated any balls, whatsoever.

Last time they got caught cheating, the Red Sox had their sentence lightened because they were cooperative in the investigation.

This time, MLB will go light on the Red Sox because, due to a lack of cooperation, MLB can’t get enough info to show that the behavior was far-reaching.

I expect they will leave that part out and just say here are our findings and wash their hands off it in hopes everyone forgets, which they will.

Well, they won’t forget all of it.

I just meant the Red Sox involvement.

I think every one of us knew the Red Sox and Yankees would never get touched by this.

they sure show a lot of yankee vs red sox on mlb…….pristine games of course

Sent this to Mark today. He and I were there.

I do not care what the haters say. WS Game 5 in 2017 was one of the greatest nights of my life.

Mine too. I’ll never forget it and the whole array of emotions felt and experiences throughout the game. Even now, when I think of the game, the cheating scandal does not enter my mind or diminish the memory.

I refuse to believe the Astros “cheated” in the WS and wish like hell they would angrily defend themselves instead of cringing and meekly saying “I’m sorry.”

The players are doing what they’ve been told to do. Basically all major league players are assholes- baseball is a game played by tough, mean men. The Astros were a great team because they were more of this than average. So, to see them genuflect like this, it’s because they’ve been ordered to do so. Crane is a weasel and a billionaire- those attributes are positively correlated. Crane has ordered the players to act in a certain way. Correa responded as a baseball player and told the whiners to get on his dick. Then, we didn’t hear back from him, as I believe Crane sent a message to him. .

I seriously doubt Crane told Correa how to think or act. I read a piece today with Gattis and he seemed extremely contrite and somber about '17. To the point I was getting a little annoyed with him.

What really hurts is that I believe they would have won without that stuff. But anybody who is not emotionally invested in that '17 club will believe that.

Gattis did a huge about face with his tail between his legs after he took a shot at Fiers.

I want SOMEBODY to address directly what they did or did not do in the 2017 WS. The best proof for me Crane muzzled them is Bregman’s relative silence. Hooray for Correa.

Game 5 of the 2017 World Series will always be one of the most cherished memories of my entire life. Not just sports, my life.

If the twitterati think I’m letting them into my memory banks to take a shit all over what I hold precious they’re more pathetic than they appear. And they appear pretty fucking pathetic.
