“My contract’s bigger!”
Certainly not after the way he started half-heartedly off the mound.
Yes, that would require hustle and knowing what you are supposed to do.
Making any one of the three plays they fucked up would have prevented the Dodgers from scoring any runs that inning.
But also, contrast the lackadaisical fundamentals from the Yankees all series to the hustle shown by Hernandez and Mookie to avoid those outs as well. That half inning is the perfect case study for my son’s 11U team.
Not while standing there pointing. If Cole sprints to the bag and Betts beats him there, good on Betts. But to stand there and point…HAHA!

I imagine that paper, or at least that section, was printed and sent out sometime while G5 was happening.
If I recall correctly, it goes to and comes back from Houston. It has been like this for years, but it never fails to piss me off.
As I understand it, the Austin paper gets put to bed down in San Antonio in late afternoon, then gets printed and shipped up to Austin in time to be distributed in the morning. So almost nothing that happens after noon is in the next day’s paper.
Right, this is why, as a resident of a place 50 minute’s drive from downtown Austin (with no overnight/early morning traffic) I got rid of my Statesman print subscription and went to online only.
I’ve always loved reading an actually current paper-newspaper in the morning, but those days are gone
