Colorado scores again, now 3-2.

Carolina gets called for a chicken shit roughing penalty giving the Rangers a power play. And the Rangers score a few seconds later for the win.

I cannot say this strenuously enough: fuck the Avs.

Hard to believe Glenn Hall tended goal without a mask. Those guys were tough motherfuckers.

The Stars surrender three goals after leading 3-0. Now going into overtime.

The Stars blow a 3-0 lead to lose 4-3 in OT. Unbelievable choke job.

Brutal.

Bayern Munich: Hold my beer.

While it’s nice to see Tuchel fall flat, I am pretty tired of seeing Madrid pull out improbable victories at the end.

The highlights of chaos.

The Stars jump out to a 3-0 lead again but this time hold off the Avs to take the game 5-3. The series is even at one game apiece.

The Premier League is coming down to the wire, with most teams having just 2 games remaining (6 have 3 games left).

At the Top

It’s really down to Arsenal and Citeh now, with Liverpool still mathematically involved but realistically out of it for a couple of weeks now. Arsenal are top by 1 point, but Citeh are one of those teams with the extra game to play (on the road at Spurs next Tuesday). If either team blinks in their remaining fixtures, they hand the trophy to the other.

If neither blinks, it’s Citeh’s 5th championship title in a row (coinciding with the 5th year of the 115 charges against them for financial cheating irregularities not being adjudicated).

The Race for Europe

Teams down to 7th place will win a spot in a European competition for next season. It might even pay down to 8th, depending on where Man Utd finish and if they win the FA Cup final later this month (against Citeh).

The much-coveted and disgustingly lucrative Champions League spots (top 4) are all-but decided, being occupied by Arsenal, Citeh, Liverpool and Villa. In theory, Villa can be caught by Spurs, but that requires Spurs to turn around a dismal run of 4 losses in a row and win their 3 remaining matches. Villa need 3 points from 2 games to lock up 4th spot, but they too have seen a dip in form.

Spurs are pretty comfortable for a Europa League place, but can be caught by Newcastle, Chelsea (who have clearly had something added to their tea lately) or Man Utd. In realty, those three chasers are simply trying to sort out who finishes 6th, 7th and 8th, with 8th missing out on Europe but also maybe not.

The Race to the Championship

Sheffield are long gone. Burnley are on the edge and have to win their last two games - plus get an entire world of help from everyone else to stay up. Realistically, there is one relegation spot left to be decided between Luton and Forest, with Forest in the driver’s seat.

While the title will be decided by which team wins all its games, this will be decided by which team doesn’t lose all its games - as they are expected to do. Forest have a 3-point advantage plus the tiebreaker in their favor, meaning they need a win to secure next season in the PL. They play Chelsea (yikes!) and a most likely relegated by then Burnley.

Luton has to win out and hope Forest lose out. Luton play Spurs (tomorrow) and Fulham, meaning that this can all be over bar the crying by Saturday lunchtime.

Palace Watch

The Eagles visit Wolves tomorrow and, with a win, could conceivably leapfrog Fulham (sorry Doyce) and Wolves themselves, up into 12th. Brimming with confidence and on a fantastic run of 5 games undefeated (4 wins and 1 draw), the new system deployed by Ollie Glassner has flummoxed the likes of Liverpool, West Ham, Newcastle and Man Utd.

49 points is achievable, tying our best ever total in the PL. More importantly, a win tomorrow would put us one place behind Brighton, whose fans are currently shitting themselves at the prospect of a season that began with so much promise and may end up with them staring up at our red and blue arses.

Perfection.

The BBC doesn’t lie.

After one period of play in Denver, the Stars lead the Avs 1-0

Avs score with :9:30 left in the second period. 1-1

The Avalanche have been relentless.

Entire game has felt like a power play for them.

Seguin scores off a perfectly placed pass and the Stars lead 2-1 after 2 periods.

Oettinger has been really good for the most part.
