Inevitable You-Know-Who Thread

Mick Jagger, Jack Napier and Rupert Murdoch is a wild mix.

Joey Tapioca says they are no crimes in the 34-count felony indictment. Well that’s that then.

Here’s the Indictment and statement of facts.

INTRODUCTION

  1. The defendant DONALD J. TRUMP repeatedly and fraudulently falsified New York business records to conceal criminal conduct that hid damaging information from the voting public during the 2016 presidential election.

  2. From August 2015 to December 2017, the Defendant orchestrated a scheme with others to influence the 2016 presidential election by identifying and purchasing negative information about him to suppress its publication and benefit the Defendant’s electoral prospects. In order to execute the unlawful scheme, the participants violated election laws and made and caused false entries in the business records of various entities in New York. The participants also took steps that mischaracterized, for tax purposes, the true nature of the payments made in furtherance of the scheme.

They forgot to add “we must get Trump so he can’t run for President and beat us again.”

The digest of it is that Trump, Cohen and the National Enquirer got together to watch out for potentially damaging stories about Trump, in order to “catch and kill” them. They did this with 3 stories: Stormy Daniels, Karen McDougal and a Trump property doorman who claimed that Trump had a child with a mistress.

Payments to reimburse Cohen were grossed up for taxes so that he could declare them as income and net back to the amount for which he was out of pocket, plus his fee. Cohen issued a series of 10 invoices for legal services that added up to the agreed reimbursement amount, and the Trump Organization entered those payments into the books as being for legal services.

The 34 counts are one for each time the false description of payments to Cohen are misrepresented in business records. Each one is charged as a felony.

Pecker and McDougal is probably where the conspiracy charge comes in.

I once worked for a company that had some of it’s executives arrested and convicted of multiple felonies. It was several months after my resignation and I was at their offices to finalize a consulting agreement. Just as the papers were being presented for signature the phone rang with a Sr. VP on the other end. He was insisting that an explicit “no bribery” clause be added to the contract before signature. Everybody looked at each other and shrugged. The contract had normal language about no crimes and such so we didn’t know what was up. We agreed to meet the next day and finish up things. After I left, the guys with badges and guns showed up.

There were violations of the FCPA at the root of it all, but falsifying documents was a big part of the case too. All contracts were put on hold, so I got left with no income. People went to Federal prison. Both prosecution and defense tried to employ me to decipher the technical jargon in the mountain of emails. I declined as I just wanted to get as far away from them as possible.

That sounds like a scary, sucky situation.

I do not believe there is a conspiracy charge; it’s all falsifying business records. The conspiracy / election fraud are referenced as motive, rather than being charged. Bragg was just asked at his PC why not charge those motivating crimes and he said he’s not going to tell us. Saving it for a book, probably.

The Democrats want this thing to be long and drawn out so it will be a talking point in the upcoming election. They know there isn’t a chance that Trump actually goes to jail over this. They know there isn’t a chance that Biden can beat him fairly. So, they have to have some fake talking point to “get Trump.”

I know you are used to the huge Biden turnouts of 8-10 people but it appears as if your post above was another misleading post. You are full of them.

Trump May find himself back in court in NY earlier than December.

I’m sure he will as they are being paid to “get Trump”

Does he want to die in prison?

Trump is demanding the police be defunded.

Why not? They are being used by Biden and the radical Democrats to take down a political opponent who they know they can’t beat fairly.

This is anecdotal, obviously, but it will be interesting to see if this continues.

Millennials and Gen Z are now the biggest generational voting bloc. If they have had enough of old white men taking away their rights and safety, and channel that into consistent turnout at the polls, they have the numbers to create a seismic shift in the political landscape the same way that Boomers did in the 80s.
