Texas is doing its best to stop Gen Z from voting. I hope it makes them mad and they all go vote.

Exactly. It’s not even subtle. Conservatives see “the kids” as a threat, and are using what power they still have to keep these younger generations from having a say.
I have seen where some states are enacting “reforms” such as removing a student ID card as a valid voter ID (I’m not even sure if one was ever valid in Texas), and also reducing/eliminating polling places on college campuses. Whatever ad hoc suppressive tactics are happening around the country, you can be sure that Texas is doing all of them.
Texas is ground zero for this fight. If Texas flips, the GOP will not be able to win control of the senate or the White House for the foreseeable future.
To wit: the state Supreme Court election in Wisconsin referenced in the tweet above has the potential to be hugely damaging to the GOP’s electoral future, not just in the state but nationwide.
Wisconsin is currently one of the most gerrymandered states, to the point that a 50/50 split in the election gives the GOP a 2/3rds majority in the state Congress and a 6-2 split of US House Reps. The newly elected Justice brings with her the prospect of eliminating this extreme gerrymandering, which will mean that the state government will be more reflective of the electorate but, further, almost flips the US House by itself.
If the younger generations have learned that they cannot sit out any election, they will slowly but inevitably pry these thumbs off the scales.
*There are plenty of not so old white men doing this, too.
I’ve been wondering when the younger generations would get up off the goddamn beanbag chair and go and turn this shit around. Maybe the answer is soonish.

If Trump actually did all of the things that he is accused of doing, he could run for President as a Democrat.
