The whole reason for phony investigations of Trump is to try to make it where he can’t run in 2024. Democrats are scared to death of him because they know he will be nearly impossible to beat fairly. Especially with the shape the economy is in with banks failing. People will be ready for a change and that is what got Trump elected in 2016.
You can argue that people will be ready for a change, and you can argue that bank problems will be a factor, and those are reasonable positions to debate. But the “phony investigations” and “impossible to beat fairly” bullshit completely undermines your credibility. There is plenty of evidence that Trump may have broken several — maybe many — laws, and those investigations will determine whether that’s the case. And despite the MAGA tantrums, there is zero evidence that the last election was anything but completely aboveboard, and Trump was defeated quite resoundingly. People that deny those facts have no credibility and forfeit the right to be taken seriously.

For what it’s worth, this NY case is small beer. Another case NY has, where similarly they have already convicted the bag man, is the tax fraud scheme. It’s much bigger, but nothing seems to be happening with it.
However, the Georgia case is going to be - in the words of one of the GJ members - “massive”. They have Trump on three separate phone calls pressuring GA officials to flip the result his way somehow. They also have any number of underlings involved, including Meadows, Giuliani and maybe even Lindsey Graham, up to their necks in it. The GJ interviewed 75 people, including the likes of Mike Flynn - who pleaded the Fifth and was one of only 10 who did so.
This is going to be a wide net thrown by Willis, and the more people ensnared in it, the more people who will flip. And they will flip, because they’re all paper tigers and whiny babies.
