Where does Trump continue to find all the best people?

What was the context of this? Was it women’s sports?

According to the caption, it was with regard to ratifying the Equal Rights Act.

i stepped on a scorpion this morning and am beyond redemption.

I have lost count now of the number of criminal investigations into Trump World.

Yeah the last bit was OTT, but sometimes when hit with all of this news about what DeSantis is doing in Florida, and the woman in the video who thinks other people getting the rights they deserve somehow diminishes her rights it can be easy to slip into broad generalizations. However, I would posit that the label ā€˜conservative’ in these political climes means MAGA.

I subscribe to the notion that not all conservatives are Trump types as all liberals are not socialists. It is fair to say that Trump has to a large degree hijacked the conservative mantle with the obvious repercussions seen now, one of which seems to be that he lives in the minds of smart people who should instead focus on baseball and getting in a good walk.

You’re right, he does live in the minds of a lot of people because a lot of good Americans are upset that a reality tv star was elected President, trashed the reputation of the US abroad (doing Putin’s bidding), used the office of the President to enrich himself and his family and when he lost he election tried to overthrow the government and 2+ years later is still walking around free.

…and is leading in the polls to be the Republican nominee in 2024.

To be clear, giving all classes equal rights does diminish the rights of the privileged class - not below another class, but lower than they were before. That is what scares the privileged class so much.

Unless Trump is in jail and maybe especially if he is in jail Trump is going to mop the floor with DeSantis. Until I’m wrong about this it’s laughable for any self-described Republican to try to create distance between themselves and Trump. It most plainly is the party of Trump. Also, the not all Republicans are Trumpers like not all Democrats are socialists is a fucking idiotic conceit on its face because there are no socialists in the Democratic Party, certainly none running for President.

Trump can still run if he’s in jail, and I think he would still be the nominee.

DeSantis is a terrible human being, but also a terrible candidate. The Dems offered up the corpse of Charlie Crist as his opponent, and DeSantis barely eked out a win by about one month’s worth of COVID deaths. If they hadn’t ignored the referendum about restoring voting rights to felons who had served their time, Crist wins in a landslide.

Honestly Republicans have no idea what socialism is. It’s laughable they call Biden a socialist. I wouldn’t even consider AOC or Bernie one.

They hate socialism, but you can have their Social Security and MediCare when you can pry it from their cold dead hand.

That’s what I was going to say re: Chuck’s ā€œthere isn’t a socialist in the Democratic Partyā€ comment, to wit: except in so far as every American participates in socialist programs. (Most of them happily.)

Michael Cohen finished his SGJ testimony at around 4pm EDT today. Probably not enough time today to issue any indictments. If not today, they don’t sit again until Monday.

Funniest thing I’ve read in a while.

Trump will lose decisively to Biden or any Democrat who can fog a mirror.

As would DeSantis.

Socialism as a political ideology and social welfare programs have nothing to do with each other, and people who claim loudly to be notionally opposed to the former and work tirelessly to dismantle and destroy the latter are all too happy that a significant percentage of the population is unwilling or unable to separate the two.

They’re not.
