I don’t think Rudy has thought about consuming quantities as low as a fifth in decades.

In other, totally normal news…

WT actual, ever-loving F…?

This would seem to be worth a look or three.

They knew of the threat at least two days before Jan 6, but failed to pass on the information to someone who might be interested in it. Like Nancy Pelosi.

Why would she be interested? She’s usually found drunk, catching her dentures or making a fool of herself in public.

I had read somewhere that some conservative know-nothings think the Anne Frank diary is fake. Because of course it is.

Like the holocaust, presumably. It strikes me that holocaust denialism and the all lives matter nonsense are two sides of the same coin. Some people simply cannot extend empathy to others, certainly not for free.

The build-up of farts in the room will soon be reaching dangerous levels.

Weisselberg flips!

Low-flying ketchup alert!

Did something change, and are you sure he has actually flipped? A few days ago, he was expected to plead guilty for a huge fine and a short jail time, but he wasn’t expected to implicate Trump.

I just figured Trump still had financial leverage over him and his family. Basically, you flip and expect no future payments or keep tight and you the family will be taken care of.

Reports now say that the short jail term is subject to him testifying fully in the trial in October. If he doesn’t dish fully, they can pull the agreement.

Also, relying on Trump to keep future promises is a fool’s errand. He’d pull the plug on Weisselberg the second the trial is over.

He’s apparently testifying against the Trump Organization but not Trump…

Former President Donald Trump has not been named as a defendant in the Manhattan district attorney’s case, which stems from a broader probe into his business practices, and Weisselberg’s plea agreement contains no provision relating to cooperating against Trump, the source said.

Weisselberg duly pleaded guilty to 15 felonies relating to over a decade of tax fraud committed by the Trump Organization. He was admonished by the judge that he’ll lose his sweet cooperation deal and face serious jail time if he fails to fully testify against the company at the trial (scheduled for October).

Question: how on earth can Weisselberg testify against the company in any way that doesn’t blow back all over Trump and his kids?

I’m sure we’ll find out. I’m gradually moving toward the HH camp.

I think the biggest threat to Trump’s freedom is the Georgia case (see below), but this federal stolen docs case is coming hard from the backfield. Either way, he isn’t going to go to jail because of the complications of him having a Secret Service protection detail. Any custodial sentence will likely be under home arrest.

Fani Willis was working with Gov. Kemp and his attorney to have him come in and record testimony for the grand jury - a concession given his position. But Kemp tried to fuck her around and yesterday he found out. Willis told Kemp that the offer of a closed door interview with his lawyer is now off the table, and that she, personally, will question him live in front of the grand jury while his lawyer waits outside - like every other citizen.

The walls are closing in.

Now on the streets tonight the lights grow dim
The walls of my room are closing in
There’s a war outside still ragin’
You say it ain’t ours anymore to win…

Trump has significant legal jeopardy on multiple fronts, and cannot hire any decent attorneys. He’s got personal insurance attorneys and former NewsMax hosts with law degrees working federal cases for him. This is him finding out that fucking over attorneys for their fees is not a good long term strategy, especially if you’re going to keep criming.

What is there so far? I can think of - off the top of my head - the following:

  • Election interference - GA, criminal (Fani Willis)
  • Stolen documents - Federal, criminal
  • Taxes - NY, civil (Tish James)
  • Jan 6 - Federal, criminal
  • Jan 6 - Various personal suits, civil
  • Trump Org taxes - NY, criminal
