“Perhaps the worst thing that could happen to the Dems would be to have 58, 59, 60 seats in the Senate.” - Maggie Haberman Limey

I’m ok with these people burning through their own money on pointless recount efforts. One by one, with their retirement savings gone and their credit cards maxed out, they’ll realize that social security and medicare is all they have, and they will need to vote for candidates who will protect them.

Couldn’t agree more.

Are they telling him to get on his plane and flee to Russia or Saudi Arabia?

In least surprising news ever Liz Cheney gets primaried.

I’m no fan of hers but I bet you if she wants she can run in the general as an independent and win handily.

The people of Wyoming were fed up with her craziness. Glad she is being shown the door in an embarrassing loss.

Palin is the QOP candidate for the House seat for Alaska.

If she’s serious about “saving Democracy”, she’ll do just that.

This is who they chose instead.

This is real, not some fucked up Max Headroom reboot.

I saw a segment on TV on the Republican registration and the Democratic registration in Wyoming. Basically, they’re mostly all Republicans. Based on those numbers, and how badly she lost, I doubt she could win as an Independent in Wyoming.

The R turnout was ~120k and the D turnout was less than 10k. (Going from memory.) The state population is somewhere north of 500k. At least half of the registered voters ceded the primary to the crazies. I really do think she could win as an independent.

Murkowski (Polish) pulled a similar move not too long ago in another low population high crazy level state. My sense is that some people eventually come around to having buyer’s remorse.

She’s going to run for President in 2024, so there’s no point in wasting time and political capital running for the House in 2022. I doubt she can win the QOP presidential primary (see below), but she will be a welcome wildcard on the debate stage.

It’s worth remembering that Cheney voted with Trump 93% of the time, and as recently as a few weeks ago accused “Democrats” of killing live babies born of abortion (which simply isn’t a thing). She’s still as extreme as you get on the right (including reneging on her previous support for gay marriage), the difference being that she drew the line at overthrowing democracy and installing a dictator.

For that, Wyoming Republicans ran her out of there on a rail.

Fun fact: Investigation target Rudi Giuliani is testifying pleading the Fifth to a grand jury in Georgia today.

Gee, I was told that you only did that if you were guilty or had something to hide.

FTR, I’m only assuming he’s pleading the Fifth. But this is “butt dial confessions” Rudi, where" Fifth" could be the protection against self-incrimination, or breakfast. I guess we’ll find out later which way he went.
