Inevitable You-Know-Who Thread

Lots of finding out today:

  • Alex Jones got nuked from orbit by his own lawyers and may now face perjury charges
  • The J6 Committee will subpoena the texts and emails which I’m sure the plaintiffs will gift wrap to them
  • The DOJ subpoenaed Cipollone (and his deputy) to testify to a federal grand jury
  • Kansas got an atomic cock punch on its efforts to ban abortion

And then there’s this:

Apparently, Navarro didn’t get the message about deleting all his stuff.

That’s a 10-point swing from pre- to post-Dobbs.

Whooooooooooooops!

Least shocking discovery of child porn ever.

Alex Jones’ cell phone is everything they said Hunter Biden’s laptop is.

That’s from 3 years ago

I thought the Judge could put anyone in jail for contempt? Looks pretty cut and dry.

That’ll teach me not to check the dates on an article…

Alex Jones’ lawyer today requested the judge protect the contents of Jones’ cell phone, and petitioned for a mistrial because he sent those contents to the defense; the motion to dismiss was denied. The judge agreed to let the defense assert privilege now, and she will review the request. Reynal asked for 10 days and the judge told him that this is something that he should have done a year ago so, no, he has today.

In arguing his right to use the inadvertently shared materials, plaintiffs’ attorney Bankston motions that there are messages between Jones and Roger Stone. I bet those are wild! Bankston also mentioned that he has had multiple requests from law enforcement agencies for the phone content, and is cooperating fully and promptly with all such requests.

And you thought yesterday was bad for Jones…

In other finding out news…

Wow. That’s low even for those scumbags.

For the life of me, I don’t understand why Democrat “leadership” hasn’t prioritized producing a couple bills to vote on that will nail representatives’ feet to the floor on important topics. We all know that they’ll say anything, or dodge, on the campaign trail. They need to have their voting records hung around their necks.

The DNC has been taking the mamby-pamby high road and have ceded the form, structure and content of the national conversation for years. There’s a certain honor in that elevated national discourse focused in the actual issues but it appears they still have yet to figure out that there is a way to keep the conversation out of the gutter while still leading the discussion instead of always reacting/following.

If they actually set about solving problems then what the hell are they going to fundraise off of?

In the primaries I proudly voted for a congressional candidate going up against the incumbent. The challenger wanted to go to Washington to solve problems rather than fuck around and grandstand Pelosi style. She would have been an amazing representative. She had some high profile backing from the usual quarters, etc. She managed eleven percent of the vote. Eleven. That is where we are as a country, and that is why we are fucked. The people elected to counter these terrifyingly dangerous lunatics are totally disinterested, totally inept, and don’t seem to have any inkling of the true nature of the opposition. They’re a bunch of geriatric fools who were fucking stupid when they were younger never mind now that they’re all 87. Fucked.

Every government agency was corrupted by Trump.

Why is Wray still in charge of the FBI (and De Joy the Post Office)? The administration is still rife with IGs appointed by Trump. All of them have to be assumed to be corrupt until a thorough investigation proves otherwise.

The voters don’t care, so why should the Dems?

Well, we’re on course to eliminate those pesky voters, so I guess that’ll fix it.

Jones hit with $4 million in compensatory damages, which is disappointingly low. However, punitive damages will be decided tomorrow, which can be up to x10 of the compensatory damages, and then he has 2 more suits where he has already been found liable by default.

Hopefully the jury are keying off a big part of the plaintiffs’ argument, which was that Jones needs to be punished for what he has done, and so will max out the punitive damages.

And then there’s his cell phone getting out into the wild, which will probably be far more costly to Jones than this case. For Jones and for many others.

Speaking of damaging witnesses, Ivanka and Don Jr have both now sat for depositions in the NY case against the Trump Org. Reportedly, neither invoked the 5th at any point during their testimony (although I suspect they may have broken a record for “I don’t recalls”). Trump himself is up next.

This week in Joe Biden:

  • al-Zawahiri ended
  • Climate change bill primed to pass in the Senate
  • Massive jobs number
  • Signed an EO to help low income women pay for abortion services
  • Saw his reinforcement of NATO bear fruit with Finland and Sweden being ratified as new members by the Senate
  • Saw gas prices drop below $3/gallon in certain locations

…all while having COVID.
