Inevitable You-Know-Who Thread

It sucks that my salary has increased but my wealth has not. So under Trump and company I already have less.

Trumpers are the fucking stupidest people on the planet. This lady is a scumbag

Did you see that 38% of people won’t drink a Corona beer now? That number is curiously equivalent to Trump’s base…

Delegate count after South Carolina:
Sanders 57
Biden 53
Buttigieg 26
Warren 8
Klobuchar 7

Everyone else is at the Blutasrky line.

The sweeping incompetence of the Trump administration continues to amaze. Even after 3+ years of contiguous dick-stomping, they continue to find new ways to demonstrate their lack of competency at every level.

To wit, a couple of days ago the administration touted its landmark agreement with the Taliban to end the war in Afghanistan and bring our troops home. Let’s ignore the fact that, had this been Obama, Republicans would’ve been screaming about surrender and negotiating with terrorists, and appreciate that they did a good thing. Wars like this never end with victory, they end in negotiation, and the Trump administration got this done. OK, so it meant agreeing to the release of 5,000 Taliban fighters in Afghan custody, but it’s worth it to get this over and get us out.

Except…they appear to have forgotten to ask the Afghans if it’s ok with them that they release the Taliban fighters. Because the Afghans came out today and said ā€œlike fuck we will.ā€

Now, the agreement with the Taliban was that the prisoner release was to happen within 10 days of the signing of the agreement. So we’re, what, 4 days in now and the Trump administration is just now starting the effort of negotiating with the Afghan government to effect the release. Or maybe they haven’t even started yet. Who the fuck knows?

What is clear is that the US is going to flunk on one of the first conditions of the agreement, the deal will be void, and they’ll be back to negotiating but this time from a weakened position.

It’s just mind-boggling.

I think this will go similar to the North Korea deal. I don’t even think they care if the deal completely craters. All that matters is that they made a deal, and that’s a skin on the wall for them. If/when it falls apart then they will blame the Taliban, Afghanistan, Obama, Soros, e-mails, and whoever else they can point the finger at that the base can easily vilify.

Very good point. They wanted to move the story off COVID19 and the Dow, so they rushed out the news of this agreement before it was, you know, agreed.

Reports today that the Pence* crew are suppressing the CDC from releasing important information to the public. New York just announced its first C19 case, WA just had its second death and the genealogy of cases in WA point to it being spread over a period of weeks. WEEKS!

South Korea is testing 10,000 people a day, including drive-thru testing centers that provide results in 10 minutes. As of Friday, the US had tested less than 500 people. We aren’t making test kits and have suggested that hospitals make their own because ā€œweā€ can’t.

  • Over the weekend, fail son of a fail son Don Jr accused Democrats of wanting millions of people to die in order to oust his unloving father. That’s disgusting, but he’s an awful, awful person. However, when asked about it by Jake Tapper, Pence refused to disagree.

As of this morning it has fallen apart. The taliban announced it is ending the partial truce. And north korea confirmed there never was a deal by firing short range ballistic missiles.

Fake news!!1

Boris Johnson, trying time allay COVID19 fears in the UK:

A first peak is expected within two to three months and ā€œreasonable worst-caseā€ plans estimate that between 50 and 80 per cent of people will become infected.

If this ā€œreasonable worst-caseā€ scenario happens, they are saying that between 30 million and 50 million UK residents will contract the virus. Even at a 1% death rate, that would be as many as 500,000 deaths. Not to mention that 20% of victims require a ventilator, which is 6 to 10 million people.

Now Klobuchar is out. Warren, at 70, is now the youngest candidate.

And Warren could be out of the race by Wednesday, leaving Trump (74 in June) as the youngest candidate in the general election.

I’ve got trips to SF and Seattle planned in July. Think I’m gonna hold off a little while before buying non-refundable plane tickets.

Wow. I try to stay abreast of this, but this seems pretty extreme. It’s the yin to Trump’s all-is-well yang.

BoJo isn’t exactly a pillar of honesty himself, but it’s notable that he would put out such a big infection percentage.

All the information coming out of the federal government here is being strained through a political filter. The team, headed by Pence, includes the senior financial officers and advisors, like Mneuchin and Kudoow. We are not being told what we need to be told.

Trump to a pharmaceutical CEO: ā€œThis would be a combination of a vaccine and also it will -put it in a different way - make you better, quicker?ā€

Very stable genius in the teeth of a global pandemic doesn’t know what a vaccine is.

Totally normal.

Moron. He is just incredibly stupid.

Well, he has his PhD in epidemiology from the Trump University Bigly School of Medicine, so…
