Inevitable You-Know-Who Thread

High taxes don’t either.

The high taxes are because the tax structure is all wrong, not because the causes being funded aren’t worthy.

You know, there was a point in this thread, oh, about 150 posts back, when I started to get this sort of giddy feeling that we were veering into dinosaurs make petroleum territory. (What the hell was her name? I can’t for the life of me remember…) In other words, the potential for real hilarity was brewing, or so it seemed.

Nope.

Too predictable for real hilarity.

LOUD NOISES!

Towely?

How did our country get here? Donald Trump is an absolute dumbass. There isn’t a fortune 5000 company who would hire him for his insight or intelligence. He is a moron. Period

Then we have Bernie.

As much as I hate the buffoons who live to yell about ‘isms. It’s hard to disagree. Bernie sucks. I’d be pick Bernie over senile UBER partisan Trump… but it still sucks.

Trump is, BY FAR, the most divisive president ever. I’d love to hear DWARD defend RUSH LIMBAUGH gettin a medal of freedom. My guess is that DWARD will just skip over it and pretend it never happened. Sad!

[quote=“D.WARD, post:524, topic:240, full:true”]. I did notBernie he wants Medicare for all which would kill millions of jobs as well while ending our rights to chose our own insurance.

This sticks out to me, I’m curious, when is the last time you got to pick your health care? In this GOP/Trump utopia that the “free” markets decide your health care sounds awesome. But only someone as stupid and uninformed as Donald Trump thinks how it works. Your insurance is decided by whom you are employed. Period

Maybe I’m wrong, but tell me the last time you got to choose your healthcare?

Last point. How many more people could SMB Companies hire if they weren’t strapped with 20k insurance bill per employee?

How many people could quit their corporate jobs to start their own business?

How many people could retire early to make space in the workforce for the next generation?

Employer-based health insurance is a prison.

Never thought of it in that term, but it’s correct.

I can’t help because Trump gave the medal to someone you don’t like. I honestly could care less because it doesn’t amount to a hill of beans.

I’m tired of arguing politics. You have your beliefs and like the idea of taxes skyrocketing. You like the idea of having the government providing free college, free Medicare, forgiving student debt, and providing no insight on how in the world we would pay for this without adding to the deficit and taking a huge portion of your paycheck. You are entitled to that opinion and that is fine. You won’t like it if the time ever comes when you have less money in your pocket. I do not like his radical ideas. No one can tell me any different because I have read and listened to what he wants to do and have my mind made up. If it comes down to him versus Trump, I will be canceling one of your votes. What is Bernie’s plan when some of his ideas get shot down? I’m sure the Republicans will make it hard on him just as the Democrats have tried to obstruct Trump the whole way. Unfortunately, that’s just how our government works now. It is divided. When it comes right down to it, like it or not, Trump will more than likely win again. Better get used to that thought. Is Trump my ideal candidate? Absolutely not. It will be the lesser of two evils for me. Bernie=FOO! I’m out. Go Astros!

That sounds about right. I knew it to be a ly at the end but I was stuck on the name beginning with S which is why I wasn’t getting anywhere.

She’s got to be 35 years old now, maybe older. I wonder which candidate she likes.

I think I’ve come up with an solution that is sure to please everyone, we just need to find a middle ground somewhere between the government taking all the income then doling it out according to the needs of the citizens and all politicians committing suicide.

If one were to simply boil it down to clichés, the left wants a government that is a Nanny State and the right wants a government that is an Absentee Landlord. I don’t want either one.

The tension between the two sides - that leaves neither completely satisfied - is when it works best.

When one side abdicates it’s responsibility to even attempt to govern, is when it falls apart. That’s where we are.

For instance?

I always thought it was “Towlie”.

That’s it!
