All is well here so far. Stay warm, Bob.
Thanks to all the well-wishers. I got the folks at Stan’s to send someone out this evening, so maybe I will be able to “stay warm”. Shout out to Stan’s by the way - great people.
It is warm here if it gets too chilly where you are. Lots of room, and you are welcome here.
It is currently 9 degrees in Seoul with a windchill of -3. That’s Fahrenheit.
Fixed (again). Maybe. Up to 68 anyway.
My friend’s son is the pastor there, and he’s a huge Astros fan.
Appropriately, the 666th post in this thread.
Good to see Andy spreading the good word, as it were.
Can’t believe it took 24 hours for someone to see it and post it here
I try to stay off FB and Twitter now. Pretty much just if I get a link from other source.
Which is exactly how I saw it
Yeah. He actually tweeted this.
Anyone else without juice today?
I’ve got power (I’m on Pedernales), but I’m gonna need a chainsaw.
Ice on oaks/cedar wreaks havoc.
Everything is great in my house, but the fucking ice brought down about half of a tree by my front porch.
I had the prettiest Spanish oak you’ll ever see on my property until the 2/21 ice storm hit. It’s a half tree now.
Thus far I think I’ve avoided roof damage from falling limbs, but I won’t know for sure until I get someone up there to give it a good once-over. Lord knows when that will be, since I’m sure everybody will be booked until summer. If I had been thinking, I would have called our arborist before the storm hit and scheduled them for this weekend. Now that will be another thing that happens on somebody else’s schedule.
The bad one brought down an entire fairly large tree in my side yard. This one broke off a good bit of the top of a tree in front.
