A topic not covered in the trade deadline thread but the trade deadline gives us more answers for immaculate grid
Today I limited myself to just Astro-affiliated players. I got 7 out of 9
For some reason in my head Domingo Santana and Teoscar Hernandez are the same person and had played for the Blue Jays and Brewers.
As it turns out, different people. 8/9 today
I was sad to see a certain 30/30 Astro Hall of Famer was only 4%
I combined Jeff Weaver and Jered Weaver’s playing histories. 8/9 because it was Jeff who pitched for the Mariners late in his career, not Jered.
Jered only pitched for the Angels right? I used a different Jarrod in that spot, Jarrod Washburn.
Brief stint in San Diego before he hung 'em up, otherwise all LAA.
I have no recollection of that at all.
8/9 177 – But Kevin Brown in Jays/Brewers should have counted. Joe Morgan (2%), Ricky Henderson (3% but not for SB) and Ken Giles (4%) were among the less likely spots, but Derek Fisher & Tommy Davis both came in below 1%.
My 3 Astros totaled 3.6%. 1%, 0.6% and 2% The 0.6% was the first guy I thought of as soon as I saw Astros/Brewers
8 out of 9. I couldn’t think of an Angel/Mariner, but my Astro line was tight - John Halama 0.9%, Domingo Santana 1.0%, and Gerald Young 0.4%
7/9 today. What the fuck is their obsession with the Marlins? Who remembers all those scrubs?
I swear every day has the Marlins or Rockies
AJ Burnett, Pudge Rodriguez and Andrew Miller
9/9 the one I actually struggled most with was KC/Bal
(This) x (eleventy billion)
It’s the NYT “fuck with you” games philosophy.
I had completely forgotten all about Jeff but have thought about using younger brother many times. Weird how your brain can work.
I went with Gerald as well. Also thought about Eric Yielding. Didn’t check on his number but think he stole 30.
Went 9/9 for second day in a row. Threw a dart with Charles Johnson (Bal/Fla square). I was 60/40 it was right. Had no other guesses to even consider.
7/9, I couldn’t remember a Royal/Oriole or a Ranger/Marlin.
