My Astros used today were, Lee May, Vinny Castilla, and Rusty Staub.

Heading the wrong direction.

I hated Rose from Day 1. I beat the rush after it became popular.

At the start of his career I liked the way he sprinted to first base after a drawing a walk. Then after the Ray Fosse incident, I started hating him. It became apparent he was a selfish (me-first-team-second-game-third) attention seeking narcissistic compensating bastard.

I think I’ve mentioned it before but I have never felt “do you even know me?!” For my wife like when she got me an autographed Rose ball

I hated the sprinting to first (false hustle), but I agree with everything else you said.

I was 12 and easily fooled.

Mark’s mom loved Pete Rose. I hated him. We had some lively discussions. She was a big baseball fan. I married well that time.

Probably the easiest (for me) grid ever today. 9/9. I don’t do the rarity stuff because I’m just happy to fill in all the boxes. Lots of Astros possibilities today.

Agree, pretty easy grid today.

8/9 Missed NYY Gold Glove - assumed Yogi won one but alas he did not.

8/9 Mark Grace won 4 GGs but none were for Arizona

8/9. I could have sworn Jorge Posada would have won at least one Gold Glove.

Most of his career overlapped with Pudge.

First 9/9 for me.

Yes, I suck.

I took the low hanging fruit and sweated out my Arizona choices.

Bless you, Steve Finley.

Yeah, but still…he was a Yankee. Figured they’d throw him a bone somewhere.

Yogi’s best years were before the award began. By the time it did, he really wasn’t an everyday catcher. He surely would have though, had the award been given earlier.
