Tucker has had more than one shot. So far, no cigar.

There were signs of life at the end of the season last year. Let’s see if he’s growing into it.

Life support maybe. Hope he finally lives up to the rep. He was disappointing in RR despite the numbers.

Betts and Price to the Dodgers. Third team reportedly involved.

A little more on the trade:

I’m a simple caveman.

But what the hell are the Red Sox doing?

Dumping payroll and a guy who will leave as a FA next year. Fuck the Dodgers.

The third team is apparently the Twins, who send a top-100 prospect to Boston and get Maeda from LA.

Dodgers also trading Joc Pederson to the Angels for 2B/SS Luis Rengifo.

Seems like a lopsided trade in favor of the Halos, but who knows.

Can’t let Mike Trout’s tenure go to waste, is it enough to advance in the standings?

“Anaheim” for the win- wow.

Embarrassing trade for Boston.

It was stunning to go back and look at how bad LAA’s pitching was last year. Ohtani down for TJS, 19 different starters (none with more than 18 starts), and their best starter died of an overdose. They made a couple of decent FA signings (Teheran, Bundy) to shore up the rotation and they presumably get Ohtani back, but I’m surprised they’re still dealing for bats when they already have Trout, Upton, Rendon, Ohtani, and Pujols. They’re going to need those bats to keep them in games.

There’s also the right/lefty platoon benefit of Pence and Tucker.

Heck – the Berman report only says the Astros have “made an offer” to Pence. Could be a minor league deal with a NRI to spring training, for all we know, right?

Definitely. It also crossed my mind that it could be one of those retirement offers so he could “retire as an Astro” but that makes no sense given the bulk of his career was not as an Astros and he won two world series as a Giants. But he’s a weird dude.

I wonder if Hunter’s mom found her way to the new forum.

He owns a gaming cafe in Houston, which could be his metaphorical ranch.

Interesting. The Coral Sword on Telephone Road isn’t the type of establishment I would have expected.

Apparently he still lives in Houston.
