I just got an email from NBC/Peacock, saying they want to send me to Universal Studios in Orlando, FL.
My first thought was: “Why? What did I do?”

I find it to be a blast. YMMV
Nintendo World looks fun as hell, and I bet the new Dark Universe attraction is a blast around Halloween.
It’s Always Sunny back for season 17 starting tonight.
Thanks for the reminder. I binged the shit out of Always Sunny the last few months.
This show has been going forever. It is both the most British thing ever and a TZ thread come to life.
Mentioned this in the What Are You Reading thread. Highly recommend watching “The Narrow Road to the Deep North” on NetFlix. It’s adapted from Richard Flanagan’s novel of the same name about an Australian doctor who was a POW during WWII working on the Thai-Burma Railroad and how that affects his later life. Woven into that is a brief affair he has with his uncle’s wife, more specifically how those memories sustain him through the horror of being a POW and how he never really gets over the affair.
There are some unsurprisingly brutal and graphic scenes in the Japanese work camp. But overall the series is beautifully done and eminently watchable (I binged all five episodes in one night).
After they did a rough story about the Dirty War in Argentina, 60 Minutes did a very good segment with John Oliver. I’d watch the whole thing.
This is not as engaging as the Mexican weather reports.
Yanet Garcia >> Jennifer Reyna
I reject the framework of either/or
I need photographic evidence to verify
See Limey’s post above. That’s plenty of evidence.
This is from another thread, but I thought my comment more relevant here. On Amazon there’s a show called Shiny Happy People, and the first season (6 episodes I think) is about the Duggars and the cult they’re a part of, the Institute in Basic Life Principles (yet another religious organization rife with molestation and sexual abuse charges). Ties in well with the Netflix series on The Family, regarding the white nationalist group that’s infected Washington for decades. These people are all scary.
This includes one of the Duggars sons, for whom they covered up his molestation of his sisters in order to not disrupt the show.
There’s a lot about that in the show.
Are any of our Austin folks using Directv Stream? I’m seeing conflicting info about whether SCHN is actually available here or not. Or maybe it has something to do with my zip code (78717).
I use DIRECTV stream specifically for the Astros games. I like it a lot better than FUBO
We just finished Ballard on Prime. It’s the Bosch spinoff.
Pretty decent. If you enjoy cop stories (or Bosch) it’s worthwhile.
