The show? BBT’s dialogue is hilarious. His lines in the scene with the lawyer and the rattlesnake is worth the price of admission. The situations are ridiculous, but the main character is funny as shit.
Tulsa King
That show is ludicrously stupid fun. Stallone owns it.
Personally, I think he should slow down on the writing and producing for just a bit.
When Stallone has the proper role, he has some chops. I guess with all the movies he’s made, he’s learned a few things.
I meant whatshisname, the writer/creator/producer. Tylar Sherridan?
Taylor Sheridan. I don’t expect him to slow down, he has bills to pay. He is the lead rep of the group that bought The 4 Sixes Ranch. He grew up on a ranch outside of Cranfills Gap.
Lioness, too. Insane track record.
The XIT Ranch is sure a thing, we all should should talk about it.
Don’t forget The Waggoner Ramch. I’m sure Neil has a story or two about that place and its colorful history. Now the owner is fuckhead Stan Kroenke.
I have so many Waggoner stories it’s painful. Kris and I were married in the chapel that the Waggoners gave the Methodist Church. Just remember, the Buick Electra 225 was named after Electra Waggoner.
This was Electra’s wedding photo for Vogue by Edward Steichen. There’s also a town, Electra, named after her.
Us Vernon folk are mighty glamorous.
Electra the town was wet, while Vernon was dry. Electra was 16 miles away.
I had to look her up. Regarding her first marriage to Albert Buckman Wharton:
The couple divorced after nineteen years of marriage. During their marriage, they had two sons:
(One of whom was)
Tom Waggoner Wharton, who married eight times and died of syphilis at the age of twenty-five.
Busy dude!!
Between 1903 - 1904 Electra had built the Thistle Hill House in Ft. Worth. It has since been fully restore but by the mid 1970s the house had sat abandoned for several years. 1974, my senior year, back when the drinking age was 18, after a few too any beers at The Hop near the TCU campus, we somehow ended up trying to break into the old abandoned mansion.
We got as far as the side entry into the house and was in the act of pulling on the board that had been nailed over the door. Then suddenly we were under the bright glare of a policeman’s spotlight. Since we hadn’t gone inside, the cop gave us a stern talking to and let us go with a warning, after assuring him that 17 year old Richard was our designated driver.
Things were different back then. Nowadays the cop would have called for backup before ever approaching us, giving us time to maybe actually enter the home. Then 10 police cars would have shown up creating a scene and a ruckus that would have resulted in our arrests for breaking and entering and for under age drinking.
I bet there were a few accidents going back north on 287.
We started watching 100 Years of Solitude on Netflix. I’ve read the book twice, once in my 20s and once in my 40s, and can’t for the life of me remember anything about it. The tv show seems very well done, but I can’t remember anything from the first episode. Just kidding. It’s very well done.
Proposition Joe still remains a Top 5 TV Character of all time for me.
#3 on my list of the best TV shows of all time.
So much eye candy in Landman, but that Bentley is pure filth.
