I am going to get whiplash from the variance in quality of episodes in Season 3 of The Mandalorian.
That’s pretty much how I felt about season 2. I loved season 1.
Also curious whether @Limey suffered a head explosion when the scoreboard showed that Chelsea had scored at 46’ of the first half.
Second this. We’ve only just started it and are about 6 episodes in and it’s a great show–funny, solid acting and writing, the whole bit.
I saw this on Twitter.
Can you name any of the entertainment and news stars here, gathered for CBS 50th anniversary, this week 1978?
I see Hitchcock and George Burns immediately. Maybe Sajak? Why does Twitter want to know? Is this about the evanescence of fame?
Sadly, I can name most of them.
Same here.
Although I choose to not think it’s sad.
And before you ask, the color of the sky in my world is pink.
Is that Bert Convey on the top row just to the right of center?
Yep.
What a cool picture.
Saw Mosul on Netflix last night. Based on this reporting in the New Yorker.
The Desperate Battle to Destroy ISIS | The New Yorker
Don’t mean to hijack this but it seems a perfect opp to plug Alpha, an absolutely awesome / infuriating / recommendable book about the SEALs and Mosul by NY Times journalist David Phillips.
Been meaning to read that. Thanks for the reminder.
Shrinking on Apple+ is really great, as are the first 2 episodes of Lucky Hank (AMC), starring Bob Odenkirk, who is great in everything he’s ever done
Shrinking gets better as it goes.
Now that I know it’s created by the same guys that made Ted Lasso, it all makes that much more sense.
First episode of Succession season 4 was excellent as always.
Finally, a proper episode of Ted Lasso
Thanks to whomever for the recommendation on Shrinking. I went in with low expectations, but it’s been quite charming through the first four episodes.
It just keeps getting better, too.
The cast and writing are both fantastic.
