I’ve not seen Saul–we started it but didn’t care for it, y’know taste and all that–but the best beginning/end parallel was Carter and Zoe in the car on Eureka episode one and the Eureka final.
I enjoyed last nights premier of House of Dragon, looking forward to see where it goes.
I loved GOT but after S8, I have no interest in going back to Westeros.
If “Endgame” or “Breaking Bad” were the examples of sticking the landing, GOT was crashing the plane into a train full of nuns and orphans.
It is different people handling this than S8.
Really cute show. Don’t know if I’ll survive the whiplash of watching it at the same time as House of the Dragon.
We watched the first episode last night but that will be it. All of the sickness of GOT with none of the unpredictability.
Just finished the Season Finale of Only Murders.
No spoilers here, but the second season brought it just as well if not better than the first one.
It’s a goofy fun show and we’ve enjoyed it
Season 13 of Archer starts tomorrow.
That’s a great description for it.
They’ve done such a great job writing in the wheelhouse of all the main characters and keeping you guessing as the story goes along, and also have brought in a great supporting cast as well.
I signed up for Hulu just to watch that show. and a couple others.
Old man texting jokes never get old.
Woo to the Yeong to the Woo was renewed for a second season. Most Korean shows do not do two seasons but the influence of Netflix has been strong here and Netflix has invested billions into the industry here so I’m not completely surprised.
That’s excellent! They tied up all the loose ends so nicely (in classic Korean drama fashion) that I thought there was no way forward for another season.
And, kind of related, I came across a pic of the lead, Park Eun-bin, recently. What a transformation. It’s hard to believe it’s the same person. She’s quite the actor.
She’s pretty well known here and especially in advertising so I actually saw her in a commercial recently and her untransformation from Yeongwoo was also a bit jarring.
Season 2 was great.
During season 2 I’d been bummed that their podcast was less central to the story, so needless to say I loved the finale. Really solid show.
Really enjoyed Only Murders as well, it’s a lot of fun. The main three characters are just fantastic together.
Give the people what they want: a Three Amigos sequel where she takes Chevy’s place
Not ashamed to admit that I was fooled for a minute by the twist in the finale.
Recently, we’ve also enjoyed watching the “Dark Winds” series that is based on the Tony Hillerman novels.
