I’m just glad the River Oaks is still there

The City of Lost Children is great. Jean-Pierre Jeunet
is one of my favorite directors.

Caught two movies at River Oaks this weekend. Nosferatu yesterday (I loved it, wife hated it), The Thin Man today (never gets old).

Was it bloody and graphic? Or just scary?

Gruesome, grotesque, horny as hell, but not particularly scary.

Sounds like me having a shower.

Good to know, thanks. I think I’ll skip it.

Just saw Anora, Babygirl, and Nosferatu. All three solid but i think Anora is easily the best of the three. Nicole kidman will get an oscar nomination (maybe baby depp will too) but mikey madison from anora burned brightly and maybe (if only briefly) outshown the more established stars.

Scary is in the eye of the beholder, sir.

Videodrome is coming to river oaks theatre later this month. My new flesh is long-lived and much less than new.

We keep meaning to go see Anora but haven’t made it happen. I’ve heard nothing but raves.

Its a movie i typically wouldnt have seen. Glad i went. People applauded at the end. Had no idea what to expect. Of the three 2025 horny christmas new releases with stellar performances by the female lead this one is the best of the bunch.

So the Fantastic Four is going to be somewhere else in the multiverse? Am I an idiot for getting my hopes up about this one?

It looks like they’re going to spare us the full origin story. At least that way, if it’s a bomb, we get something other than that in a one-and-done F4 movie.

Nah, it looks fun. I’d bet this is the version that finally works.

i loved the Fantastic 4 comic book when I was a kid. I’m sure I’ll watch the film but I’m not really a fan of most comic book movies.

No. Not only does the trailer look awesome but the fact that they never showed Reed’s powers reassures me they’re actually taking their time on CGI

It’s a bit of a stretch but i think you’re on to something, and though it’s a transparent cash grab i too hope that this one flames on rather than out.

IT’S CLOBBERING TIME BABY!

Bong Joon Ho’s follow up to Parasite definitely looks like it has some serious potential.

Not a fan of parasite. Not saying its bad, just not something i enjoyed.
Looking forward to this one, and MONKEY!!!

Captain America: Brave New World

A very on the nose metaphor for our current state as a country or the weirdest episode of Shrinking ever? You decide.
