Man, Texas’s basketball team is just a fucking blueprint for how to waste talent.
Bad fundamentals all over the court, terrible rebounding/blocking out, and missing free throws in close games.
That was a brutal last 8 minutes.

Their rebounding is particularly weird. They’ll go through stretches where they’re beasts, and then (longer) stretches where they’re invisible.
The Cougars are on ESPN+ today but for the last time this season.
They just completely forget to box out so often. It’s amazing how bad they are fundamentally.

Auburn just didn’t show good energy and toughness. They did not deserve to win. Hopefully they will learn from this game.
The Cougars go to Boulder and struggle to pull off a 69 to 59 victory that was closer than it should have been.
Clemson beats Duke 77-71. Both #1 and #2 go down.
Arizona beat Texas Tech 82-73. The Wildcats snapped Tech’s seven game winning streak by beating Tech physically from the opening tip. Tech made it close a couple of times, it was a two point Arizona lead at the half, but the Wildcats were in control the whole game.
AZ looks like a Sweet 16 or better team. Tech will try to stay in the top four of the Big XII but still has Kansas, U of H, and a resurgent Kansas State on their schedule. I am hoping for a #4 seed in the NCAA, but it could be anywhere from #3 to a #6.

I was quite pleased with the BasketCats’ physicality last night as the last time out tech was the more physical team.
