From what I’ve seen, St John’s has a really great defense and an offense that will make you want to hit the FF button in real time.

If Michigan State could shoot 3s at even a below average rate they’d be a 1 seed. They are 338th in the nation. Same with St John’s who is 341st

J.T. Toppin has been named Big XII player (and newcomer) of the year. In some ways he reminds me of Tim Duncan with his efficient low post footwork and scoring.
In the first round of the Big XII tournament Cincinnati defeats Oklahoma State 87-68 putting the Cowboys out of their misery for the season. Colorado upsets TCU again, this time 69-67. I suppose the Frogs might get a bid to the N.I.T., but probably not.
Kansas State leads Arizona State 38-31 at the half. Later, UCF and Utah will play the last first round game.
Kansas State wins 71-66. The sun will set on the Sun Devils for this season.

Utah leads UCF 40-39 at the half in a very entertaining game.
UCF dominates the second half and defeats Utah 87-72. The Runnin’ Utes were runnin’ on empty and, absent an unlikely N.I.T. bid, are done for the year.
Iowa State defeats Cincinnati 76-56. The Cyclones ran away with the game in the last 3 minutes.
Next Up: Colorado vs West Virginia.
Colorado continues the upset streak as they beat West Virginia 67-60. They will play Houston in the quarterfinals.
Next up: Baylor vs Kansas State.
The Horns are so much better with Weaver in the lineup.

Baylor defeats Kansas State 70-56 in a game they controlled throughout. The Bears will take on the Red Raiders tomorrow.
