Kansas escapes the upset by beating UCF in overtime 98-94. The Jayhawks will play Arizona tomorrow in the quarterfinals.
Duke had 12 points in the first 16 minutes of their game against GaTech, but the GaTech did some stupid things, Duke got a couple of impressive blocks, and they were off to races, scoring 14 in the last 4 minutes to cut their deficit to 5 at the half. But Flagg has an ankle injury, severity yet to be determined.

BYU is playing incredibly. If they did seedings based on the 2nd half of the season, they’d be a 2/3 seed.

Wild finish (2nd half, really) in the Ole Miss-Arkansas game. Arkansas kid misses two free throws with 7 seconds left in a tie game, Mississippi comes down, their 3-point shooter who was 0-6 hits his only 3-pointer of the day, and then Arkansas hits the rim on a last-gasp mid-court shot. Ole Miss survives by 3.
Houston beats Colorado 77-68. The Buffs’ string of upsets comes to an end, but they gave UH a good game. It’ll be Coogs vs Cougs in the semifinals.
Im hoping UH just plays the bench. 1 seed wrapped up. I just wanna be healthy for the tournament for the first time in 4 years. Roberts got injured today, so hoping he is OK.

I had to go outside to help out the sprinkler repair guy about midway through the first OT. This is not the postgame I was expecting!

Congratulations to my alma mater, American University, the only school chartered by an act of Congress (1893), who beat Navy last night 74-52 to win the Patriot League. This will be the Eagles’ fifth appearance in the NCAA tournament.
Might as well cancel the rest of the proceedings and give them the championship now.
