Tech’s terrible season continues as they lose consecutive games at home for the first time in a looooong time. Oklahoma wins 68-63 (I think). Fuck!
If they can get some guys back from injury they may make a late run and make the Tournament. In a lesser conference, they’d be considered one of the better teams. In the Big XII, Tech’s going to have to fight to stay out of the cellar.

The University of Houston continues to take care of business, defeating the University of Cincinnati Bearcats 72-59 to improve to 16-1 and a good argument to return to the number one spot in the AP and Coaches polls.
This is not a mark against the Coogs at all, they’re fucking great, but they play absolutely nobody until March. Their conference is crap, I would love to see them play someone good between now and then.
That was absolutely a swipe at them. And playing Alabama and Virginia just don’t count?
The conference is the conference but the Coogs aren’t exactly hiding out from the national scene.
The conference is not very good but it is far from crap. Cincinnati is one stud away from being a very good team. UCF is a good team and Coach Dawkins always has them prepared and playing hard. Memphis is Memphis and full of highly rated recruits. Tulane is very well coached.
The American East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Colonial, Horizon League, Ivy League, MAAC, MEAC, Mid American, Missouri Valley, Ohio Valley, Northeast, Patriot, Southern, Southland, SWAC, Summit, Sun Belt, might be considered “crap” conferences. The West Coast, Mountain West, Conference USA, & Atlantic 10, are not “crap” conferences.
