A late Tech comeback falls short as Kansas wins 75-72 in Lubbock. Adams put a lot of Tech’s prospects for '22-'23 with transfer center Fardaws Aimac, who has yet to play a minute because of a pre-season practice injury. Without him they’re not big enough to play big and since McCullers transferred to Kansas, they’re not fast enough to play fast.
Losing to #3 Kansas in a close game is no shame, but without Fardaws, they will have a lot of trouble in the Big XII this year.
Not sure I follow. I understand he was fired for cause, but by not resigning and subsequently entering the public fray through his attorney, he’s made things worse, IMO, for both him and for UT.
I wasn’t disputing anything you said. Just adding additional info to the thread. Yes, it would certainly be better for everyone not named Beard if he went away quietly and quite possibly better for him too.
I am discussing the due process issue with a former UT lawyer now. You cannot summarily fire a public employee who has a contract. He has a constitutional right to due process before he is fired. The employer must prove the conduct which constitutes good cause. Mere allegations are not enough.
Sovereign immunity will clobber any lawsuit Beard files.
Moral: if one is in a toxic relationship, leave it. Beard is an idiot. He had his dream job and was getting $5million a year to do it. He had a Final Four contender team and two five star recruits signed. Fucking idiot. She broke your glasses? Get in your car and leave.
