Clock strikes midnight for UTSA. They get beat up pretty good as UCLA advances to Omaha.
So Murray State punches the final ticket to Omaha with a 4-3 win over Duke. The ending was crazy, as Duke had the tying run on 1B with one out. A groundball to SS and flip to 2B for the second out, but R1 takes out the second baseman so no double play. But the umps call interference and the game-winning double play anyway. Murray State celebrates, dogpiles ensue. But wait…it’s under review. Replay overturns the interference call, and we play on. Next batter grounds out and Murray State celebrates again. The expression on the Murray State’s coach’s face still hasn’t changed. He’s either completely unaware or he’s the coolest cucumber in the barrel.

Bloop 2B .2 inches fair (chalk flew up) down the RF line, IBB, bloop RBI single to CF, [new pitcher] 2B roped to the RF gap plates 2 more

Leadoff 2B, bloop single, K, GIDP ends the game.
That two out, two strike double which landed just fair came on a pitch in the dirt. Great piece of hitting and there’s just not much you can do against that.
And Arizona only scoring one run with the bases loaded and no outs in the top fifth was just brutal.
