Stevens cruises effortlessly through the top half of the 5th as Dallas pitches and fields his way into and then pitches his way right out of a jam.
Still no score after five innings.
Then Tech explodes for 5 in the sixth
I had to run errands.
Texas gets one back in the 7th and have chased Dallas in the 8th. He leaves the bases jacked with one out. Wells in relief.
Wells walks in two runs on nine pitches then gets the K for the second out. Rain and lightning followed and weāre in a rain delay with 2 outs and bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth with Tech hanging on to a 5-3 lead.
E.T.A. Game suspended until tomorrow. Theyāll pick it up with 2 out in the bottom of the 8th and finish before they play the last game of the series.

DIck-stepping and sloppy pitching have put Tech in a 7-2 hole after 6.5 innings.

Tech seems content to take their series win and get run-ruled out of Austin. grumble

UT wins game three 11-3.
Tech hurlers couldnāt find the plate with GPS and LIDAR. This substantially reduces the basking, although winning a series in Austin is always sweet.

Tech now up 8-0 after three innings.
After seven innings, Tech up on OU 14-2.
Why is this a ānon-conferenceā game?
Itās a make-up of a single game, neutral site scheduled earlier in the year. Their three-game conference series begins next week.
Thereās usually one or two mid-week non-conference games against conference opponents every year. In the Big XII, there are only three conference games against each of the other eight teams, with home field switching every year.
Tech closes out the game with a 14-4 win.
