Cole and FA

I do not boo players and especially not because they left for more money.

No, I won’t boo him. However, Cole’s decision to wear a team Boras hat immediately after the game 7 loss and having the nerve to ask if he had to conduct post-game interviews since he was no longer an Astros’ employee was not that different than the stunts Beltran and Boras pulled.

Cheer him in introductions. Then cheer when we knock the crap out of him.

WTH did Beltran do besides sign with another team? I never understood booing him.

I don’t ever recall Beltran giving us any kind of hope that he would re-sign with us. He was only with us a few months too. Never understood it myself either.

No way do you boo Cole. He was a good Astro and provided some really great Astros moments. His first 10 minutes after being an Astro were bizarre and perplexing but that does not negate his 2 quality years he was in Houston.

If you meant “after not being an Astro,” he was an ass.

I never booed him either. I think a lot of the fan anger at Beltran was due to the perception that he chose the Mets over a competitive offer from the Astros, which may or may not have been better on a tax-adjusted basis. The anger was likely enhanced due to his historic run in the playoffs and the team still falling short of the Pennant.

A key difference between Beltran and Cole, if we must belabor the comparison, is that the Astros likely never made an offer remotely approaching the Yankees’ offer to Cole.

Cole simply ran to the biggest bag of loot. Fuck the Yankees and their desperation to placate all their fans who love trying to buy their way to a pennant. Cashman was feeling heat for the first time in two decades and whipped out the yankee wallet to save his ass.

I don’t boo players, though I will vehemently boo a bad call by an umpire, but I don’t begrudge those that do if it is warranted by an action or behavior of the recipient of said booing.

Cole will get booed by Yankee fans long before Astros fans even get the chance.

Ha! Spot on.

If Cole would have gone to the West Coast (Home) teams for slightly less than Yankees offer I “Might” have respected his decision more. Since he took the highest bid, fuck the greedy SOB.

And apparently he got a new contraption for his wife and himself to play with. WTF.

Jesus Christ, it’s amazing there’s enough room up the Yankees ass for all these people’s heads to be shoved up there.

Fucking self important blow hard cocksuckers.

Just glancing at the past couple posts gave me the impression that the Yankees gave Cole a 30 pound butt plug.

Big, if true.

And we all thought Bauer was the butt plug. I guess we was wrong.

They’re heavier when they’re made of gold.

There’s at least one upside to all of this. At least they ripped the bandaid off early, and we won’t spend the entire void harboring the faint hope that there are secret negotiations going on that will bring Cole back to the good guys.

Kevin Durant tried on a virtual reality device which placed him the middle of the Golden State lineup in “game” action. Some people are easily impressed, but money and wins talk loudly

I don’t want to know how you know that
