The community where we live has what you might call a lazy river running through it. They’re referred to as lakes, and apparently there are eight lakes. I think of them as kin to the River of No Return at Astroworld. They’re stocked with Koi and other fish and are a sanctuary for all manner of waterfowl. It’s actually quite lovely. Last month’s water bill was $17,000.

I, too, live in Georgetown and Nolan Ryan’s house is in the subdivision next door. I often walk by it on my morning walks.

I have those things…they’re called the Highland Lakes.
Ours have maintained a reasonable and stable volume of water.
