I donât know, maybe they wanted Voit to slide with his elbows up and out, not bring them down by his side and then not slap the catcherâs mask off. But Stephenson did lead with his face, not sure Voit could have avoided it. I donât think it was dirty. After repeated viewings it looked like Voit was bringing his arms down to protect himself and slap at the glove. Stephensonâs head got in the way.
Never-the-less, I want Tommy Pham on my side in a fight.
